Ishaan Osheen & Hansraj Dochaniya

Ishaan Bharat is a multidisciplinary visual and movement artist, operating under the moniker of Osheen. They’re one of the few queer aerialists in India, and are currently based out of New Delhi, choreographing ‘aerial drag’ performances. Their work draws inspiration from fluidity, sexuality and transformation - reimagining queer bodies and personas through a theatrical lens, often depicted in alternate worlds at the brim of collapse.

Hansraj Dochaniya is a photographer who believes that the intent of an image plays a central role in the photographic process. Viewing the subject as an integral part of an image, their expressions, body language, and surroundings become the elements that complete a composition. Dochaniya uses a lighting technique that is inspired by his memories and the vivid colours of local fairs he’d visit, performances of folk artists and classical singers, and scenes from films that become part of this visual diary. Dochaniya’s works have been exhibited at the BBA Gallery, Berlin in 2022 and have been part of the Rotterdam Photo Festival, Netherland in 2023.
