Afzan Pirzade

Afzan Pirzade is a Pune based interdisciplinary artist whose work encompasses a wide

range of styles and mediums. Pirzade’s versatility as an artist is expressed through his paintings and public works that make use of realism evoking a sense of wonder and introspection within the viewer. Interested in the practicing theory of perspective in, colours, shapes, and concepts, the artist paints monochromatic canvases to achieve exemplary three dimensionality. His works feature a looming melancholia, reminding the viewer to embrace serenity in the madness of a city. 

In his public works, Pirzade invites the audience to pause and appreciate the beauty that surrounds them. He incorporates rich, vivid colours and intricate details to capture a moment.  The artist explores the mysteries of the human psyche and the nature of consciousness. His intricate and hyperreal works challenge us to expand our understanding of ourselves and the world we live in.
