Tanya George

Tanya George is an independent typographer, type designer, and design educator from India. She worked as a graphic designer before getting a Masters in Typeface Design from the University of Reading. Currently, her wide-ranging freelance practice includes designing letterforms for Brand Identities as well as fonts across different Indian Scripts. She also conducts Type Walks around Mumbai, along with typography workshops and writes about type. She is a docent and writes for the Letterform Archive.

She has worked with brands such as Great State Ale, Type Network, Art & Wonderment and Art Deco Mumbai Trust. She has also presented at Type Weekend, Type Drives Culture and LfA Salons.
