‘Stick No Bills,’ a phrase commonly found painted on electric junction boxes, is also the title of ZERO’s new décollage series. His interest in the visuals of a city provoked him to collect posters of both old advertisements and films, forming the foundation of the works. The short duration of each advertisement campaign lends itself to be piled over, amassing stories of a city’s past and the culture of consumerism. As a seasoned graffiti writer, the artist blends lettering with paper to recreate the palpable essence of scrapped off wheat pasted posters found on walls.
